PRIVACY
What this site collects
Short version: nothing, unless you hand me your email address on purpose. Here is the long version, because a site that makes claims about privacy should be specific enough that you can check them.
01 — THE SPECIFICS
Line by line
- WHAT I STORE
- If you use the notify form: your email address, which system you picked, and the time you submitted it. That is the entire record.
- WHAT I DON'T STORE
- No IP address, no user agent, no referrer, no country, no fingerprint of any kind. The endpoint that receives the form never reads them, and the table has nowhere to put them.
- COOKIES
- None. This site sets no cookies and uses no localStorage or sessionStorage. There is nothing to consent to, which is why you weren't asked to.
- ANALYTICS
- None. No Google Analytics, no Plausible, no pixel, no tag manager. I don't know how many people visit this site, and that is a trade I'm happy with.
- THIRD PARTIES
- One, and I'd rather tell you than have you find it: the typefaces load from Google Fonts, so opening a page here tells Google your IP address. It is the only external request the site makes. I intend to self-host them and remove it.
- HOSTING
- The site runs on Cloudflare Pages, so Cloudflare terminates the connection and sees request metadata the way any host would. The notify list lives in Cloudflare D1, in the table described above.
02 — THE EMAIL LIST
What I'll do with it
- ONE EMAIL
- Sent when Academy or Financials is ready for households other than mine. It is not a newsletter and there is no second email waiting behind it.
- NO SHARING
- I will not sell it, rent it, trade it, or hand it to an analytics or marketing service. There is no such service attached to this site.
- REMOVING YOURSELF
- Email hello@flokus.org and I'll delete the row. There is no account to log into and no unsubscribe maze to walk through.
